It was Five Fifty Seven in the afternoon, the college halls were vacated and so were the rooms, why? Simply because it’s Valentine’s Day, YES, V Day, a special day when stranger’s become a couple and where couples glorify their love by being mushy gooey and romantic. Everyone at 5 was waiting for the orange sun to set, to see the magnificence of sun set with your special someone is memorable during Valentine’s Day, the red orange light illuminating your mates beauty, the mundane breeze turning into sultry air and of course the romantic view, Everyone at Dong Bang College was happy….. Well except for one guy.

“No…..” The ethereal male shoved the cake back to another girl as he rolls his eyes in irritation, can’t they see that he wasn’t interested in them? He walked away from the girl not minding her pleas and cry and curses (Dang woman, language please) he didn’t mind the glares and stares of the other male students, they were just probably jealous of him, he didn’t want the attentions of those girls actually so he doesn’t mind if those other guys just snatch one of his fan girls, actually he’d be happy if that ever happen.

He sighed loudly then he walked towards his locker, he opened it to get his logic books but was surprised to see a red envelope placed inside his locker.

He eyed the locker area to see if someone else was there or if the person who put it in the letter inside there was still around, he pursed his lips together and eyed the red envelope again and without hesitation he picked up the envelope and read’s the letter inside it.

Dear JaeJoong

                Hi, you’re probably wondering whose the person who sent you this letter and you’re probably dumbfounded why a guy like me is writing this for another guy like you on Valentine’s Day, I wrote this letter…. Well because…. I’m too much of a coward to face you….. Hey…. Don’t get me wrong….. I’m not a wimp or anything….. It’s just that…. You have something special like whenever I see you I can’t function well….. I just feel bad that I can’t ask you out on a date for Valentine’s Day cause your probably not gay…. But hey…. I’m taking my chances here…. Anyway…. Kim JaeJoong…. Happy Valentine’s Day….

JaeJoong swallowed loudly as he snaps back to reality, he didn’t notice that he was gripping unto the letter to tightly that the side was almost crumpled, he straightened the letter and eyed the whole place again thinking that maybe his mysterious stranger was still around, but then expectations can’t be met when he realized that he was still alone, he rubbed that back of his neck and neatly placed the letter back to the red envelope gently, he puts the letter in his bag then silently went home.

A year later

Yes it was Valentine’s Day yet again, it was another day when girls swarm around him and shove chocolates, cakes, pasties and love letters to him, he cursed mentally when he noticed that there was a slight damage on his shirt, one of his fan girls must’ve gripped his shirt to tightly when she was begging him to date her, he sighed loudly then walked towards the men’s lavatory where he will wash his face to probably cool off since it was a stressful day, he immediately turned on the faucet then washed his face, he was about to grab the liquid soap that was next to him but then he heard the door open then closed quickly, he eyed the door to see if it was properly closed but when he looked at the floor his world seemed to stop for a few seconds or more.

He eyed the whole place; he felt a little creep out that someone knows where he is exactly, he looked at the chocolate box once more then picked it up, he open the box and saw another note on top of the chocolates.

                Happy Valentine’s Day, I hope that you’re not lonely today because you deserve every kind of warmth in your life for this special day, one day….. I will muster enough courage to tell you who I am…. But for now… I’ll love you from afar…. Please enjoy the chocolates…. They’re expensive…..

2 years later

It was Valentine’s again and a month more then he’ll graduate from his college course smoothly, so many things has happened two years ago, yes, for him Valentine’s isn’t so bad anymore, he just realized that, last year his secret admirer told him his initials and it was S.C.M, JaeJoong couldn’t hold his happiness, yes he has fallen for someone who was a complete stranger to him but for him it doesn’t matter.

He was walking towards his locker to check if his mysterious lover sent him something again but he was surprised when someone tapped him in the shoulder lightly.

“Uhm….. A guy told me to give you this…..” A freshmen whispered shyly while holding out a tiny red box, he smiled at the young man and bowed him after giving thanks, he looked at his surrounding before opening the box then his heart skipped a beat when he saw his secret admirers handwriting.

My love for you is hiding in a mere berry bush…. Literally….

There are FIVE boxes that I’ve hidden in the school’s perimeter…. And each of those gifts…. Will lead you….

To me…..

Find them before somebody else does…..

JaeJoong felt endorphin filling his system, he’ll finally see his mysterious lover but first he needs to find each gifts!

The second one was in the school’s playground beside a mere berry bush.

Cleaning is fun!

The third one was inside the janitor’s closet (The janitor thought JaeJoong was crazy for screaming like a girl when he found the third box)

One thing I love is a mate who can sing very well…..

The fourth one was hidden at the auditorium, (P.S. the tech director thought JaeJoong was going to steal the equipments since he was looking for something like crazy!)

After almost an hour of searching at the park where most couples date in V Day, JaeJoong wanted to give up already, he couldn’t find the box, he was sticky because he was sweating too much and he was thirsty like hell, he wiped his sweat with the back of his hands and sighed loudly, “AISH….. I give up!” He cursed lowly while trying to pick up the other boxes from the ground, he was about to leave but then a man was walking towards him and was carrying a big red box.

“…..Hi……” The taller male whispered while smiling widely at JaeJoong, JaeJoong was still in a trance! Is this real? As in for real??? Shim ChangMin was his secret admirer??

“You?” JaeJoong replied, his eyes wide open making it so bluntly obvious that he was surprised like hell.

“Yes me…..”

“Bu-----bbb------but”

“……Hehehehehe…. You surprised?” ChangMin handed the box over to JaeJoong but the shorter male didn't even bother to look at the box.

“But how can you be? What are you?? Who can you??? Why is it li-----“ JaeJoong was silenced when ChangMin’s lips met his, it was only a soft peck but it was strong enough to calm JaeJoong’s nerves.

“…..Happy Valentine’s to you too….” ChangMin whispered before connecting his lips with JaeJoong again and this time JaeJoong kissed back, he was happy…. Because his secret admirer was no secret anymore…. So… before he graduates… He’ll enjoy Valentine’s genuinely for the first time.
